Friends of the Grimes Public Library

As advocates for the library, our mission is to increase appreciation of the library, promote community involvement and actively work to fund raise for library materials and programs.

What Do Friends Fund

Your Community

By joining the Friends group your membership fees go to support people in our community.  Friends dollars go to purchase resources and tools that are used to promote literacy, continued learning and development, and discovery to the people of Grimes.  Help us help our community by providing the funds for portable WiFi hotspots!

Your Library Programs & Items

Friends dollars also go to help support literacy programs throughout the year, including our summer reading programs and other programs throughout the year such as the Iowa Adventure Pass where a library card holder can "check out" a pass to several of the top Metro attractions (Zoo, Living History Farm, Science Center, Botanical Center, and more!)
