WHAT IS A FRIENDS MEMBERSHIP? A Friends membership is an annual donation that directly supports the Grimes Public Library. Your contribution helps fund special programs (like Adventure Pass and Summer Reading Program), community events, new technology, and other library resources that fall outside the city budget. In short, your membership helps the library grow, innovate, and serve our community in bigger ways. ISN'T HAVING A LIBRARY CARD ENOUGH? We’re thrilled to have so many Grimes residents as library cardholders, but being a Friend takes your support one step further. Membership dollars go toward enhancements that make the library a true community hub—something that cardholder status alone doesn’t cover.
WHAT ARE THE PERKS OF JOINING? Friends members enjoy exclusive benefits as a thank-you for their support: ● Book coupon (good for one free book at the Friends sale) ● Invitation to the annual membership dinner ● Email newsletter with library updates and volunteer opportunities ● Member-only arts & crafts gatherings ● Special Friends member sticker for your library card
WHAT DOES IT COST TO JOIN? Memberships start at $10 per person per year, and every dollar makes a meaningful difference in what the library can offer. We welcome and appreciate gifts of any amount — whether you give $10, $25, $50, $100, or more — your contribution helps bring programs, resources, and opportunities to the Grimes community.
DO YOU OFFER A KIDS MEMBERSHIP? Yes! Young readers can become Junior Friends for just $5 per child per year. Junior members receive: ● A Junior Member Booklet (similar to a Jr. Ranger booklet) ● Access to an exclusive kids-only event (details coming soon!) ● Special Friends member sticker for their own library card
